Covid-19: Nurses abandon 17 patients due to sit-at home order

According to him, the strike action has affected 17 coronavirus patients receiving treatment at the hospital, Vanguard reports. Meanwhile, Mercy Lenka, chairman of the JUTH chapter of the Association said the order was necessary because their members were risking their lives working under stringent conditions. Police woman's 'sexy rendezvous' arouses debate on social media

Authorities are investigating how pictures of a police woman undressing were taken and shared on social media. In the pictures shared on Facebook, the woman is seen sitting on a sofa with a cellphone in one hand and what looks like a glass of alcohol in the other. Another picture then shows the woman with the glass closer to her mouth while the last two pictures show her undressing, even revealing her panties. In the pictures, the woman seems to be aware in the first picture that someone was taking the pictures as she smiles in the direction of the camera. However, it is difficult to tell whether in the other picture where she is undressing, she was fully aware of what was happening. It is unclear at this stage whether the pictures were shared by the woman in the picture or someone else did it with or without her consent. Gov. of Kebbi State, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, on Friday said the state has received 61 Almajiri children repatriated by the Kano State Government. Bagudu said repatriation of the children to the state by the Kano State government was in line with the recent decision taken by the governors of the 19 northern states. According to him, the children were earlier tested by the Kano government and duly declared COVID-19 free. He said that those who had tested positive to the disease were left at Kano, receiving treatment while they would be repatriated afterwards. AFP Coronavirus cases in Nigeria have risen to 7, 261 following the announcement of 245 more cases on Friday, May 22, 2020. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed the new cases in 21 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. In its latest update on the pandemic in the country, the agency said 131 new cases were recorded in Lagos, the epicentre of the outbreak in the most populous country in Africa. The confirmed cases of the pandemic in the state have now risen to 3,170. The NCDC also announced 16 cases in Jigawa, 13 in Ogun, 12 in Borno and nine cases each in Kaduna, Oyo, Rivers and Ebonyi state. Following the commencement of the investigation on rape allegations against Pastor Fatoyinbo by Busola, the Coalition of Public Interests Lawyers and Advocates (COPA) has urged the Inspector General of Police (IGP)  Mohammed Adamu  to ensure justice is served in case.
