Regina Daniels has welcomed her first child, a baby boy   Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and billionaire businessman, Ned Nwoko have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy.   The news was made public by her elder brother, @sweeezzy1, just two days after her friends and family threw her a baby shower.   Sharing the goodnews, he wrote:   “OFFICIALLY AN UNCLE YOU KNOW? Jack Evans An 18-year-old convicted rapist has been jailed after his parents forced him to report himself to police when they discovered an apology message he texted to his victim. Restaurant worker Jack Evans, 18, forced himself on a virgin and he would have escaped justice because the student never reported the attack. However, when he apologised to her by text two months after the sex attack, his dad Jonathan and his stepmother Sarah Morris, both 47, saw the message and told him to tell police. They marched him to a police station where he told officers his name and what he had done. They tracked down his victim, who told them about the attack and he was charged with rape. He was arrested alongside his wife, Ogochukwu, but she was later released in the evening of the same day. Julius died in police custody on Saturday June 6. The APC National working committee has sworn in Worgu Bom, replacing Victor Giadom as deputy National chairman of the party Mr Worgu Boms The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress APC on Monday morning, June 22, swore into office the former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Rivers state, Mr. Worgu Boms to replace the suspended Deputy National Secretary of the party, Victor Giadom. Recall that the party picked Worgu to replace Victor Giadom, on the grounds that the latter had resigned from his position in 2018 to be the running mate to Tonye Cole, Rivers governorship aspirant in the 2019 election. This decision came after Giadom went against the party authorities and declared himself the acting chairman of the party following Oshiomole's suspension. Over the weekend, APC members in Rivers state announced Giadom's suspension. Giadom is however still insisting he is the acting chairman of the APC.

The crisis rocking Rivers chapter of the APC has deepened following rejection of Igo Aguma as the acting Chairman of the party by 28 out of 38 statutory members of the party. Speaking on behalf of the State Executive Committee, Andrew Uchendu, Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District, accused Aguma of flouting the party’s constitution and making decisions without consulting relevant stakeholders. Uchendu declared that Sokonte Davies in line with the decision of the State Executive Committee would henceforth pilot the party’s affairs in the state as Chairman. He added that the suspension of Victor Giadom from the office of Deputy National Secretary of APC, as well as the nomination and appointment of Worgu Boms as a replacement, was in nullity. The federal government has opened up on whether it will impose another lockdown or not. Boss Mustapha   The Federal Government has said there is no plan to impose another lockdown, despite the increase in COVID-19 cases in the country.   Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF), Boss Mustapha, stated this on Thursday, during the daily media briefing.   Mustapha was asked if the government was looking to shut down the country again, in a bid to flatten the curve of the pandemic. “To go back to a total lockdown must be taken in the context of what we desire to achieve after we’ve lockdown for about five weeks and seen how we fared. “So the issue of review might not have that in contemplation because you can’t move forward and begin to move backward again,”  he replied.   As at today, a total of 13,873 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.   4,351 patients have been discharged and 382 deaths recorded.
